Itinerary
Start your day by departing from Marrakech in the morning and heading towards the High Atlas Mountains. You'll pass through the stunning Tizi N'Tichka pass, which sits at an altitude of 2260 meters. Along the way, make a stop at the kasbah of Telouet to visit the impressive kasbah of Pacha Glaoui. Enjoy lunch at the restaurant Tasga. Afterward, continue your journey through an old caravan track, meandering through the picturesque Ounila Valley dotted with Berber villages. Finally, reach the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. Continue on the road to Ouarzazate, where you'll have dinner and spend the night at a hotel.
In the morning, set off towards the desert, following the road of a thousand kasbahs. Visit the beautiful kasbah of Amredile in Skoura. Continue to the rose capital of Kalaa Mgouna. From there, ascend the Dades Valley to Boumalne and then proceed to Tinghir. Explore the stunning Todra Gorges, located just 15 kilometers from Tinghir, and enjoy lunch at the site. In the afternoon, continue your journey to the city of Erfoud, passing through the palm groves of Tinjdad and Touroug. Visit a workshop that produces fossil marble in Erfoud. Finally, reach the impressive dunes of Merzouga, known as Erg Chebbi. Exchange vehicles for camels and embark on a camel trek to witness the sunset over the dunes. Spend the night in a desert camp.
After breakfast, embark on a desert adventure. Traverse the landscapes of Merzouga, including the two oases of Merzouga, nomadic settlements, the village of Khamlia (known as the village of the Blacks), the Mifiss mines, and the vast desert plains. Encounter Berber nomads of the desert and visit the Tissardmine oasis. Return to the hotel around 3 pm and prepare for a camel caravan ride to witness the sunset in the dunes. Spend the night in a traditional Berber tent in a wild oasis, located a two-hour walk into the desert.
In the morning, depart from Merzouga and head towards the palm groves of Tafilalet, passing through the historic city of Rissani, which was once the capital of the Alawite dynasty. Continue to Alnif and enjoy lunch at the site. In the afternoon, drive through Tazarine, Nkob, and Tansihkt, taking a route that leads you through the stunning Dràa Valley with its captivating palm groves. Proceed towards Zagora along the road, and from there, continue your journey through Ouarzazate, passing the scenic Dràa Valley, the Berber village of Agdez, and the Anti Atlas Mountains. In the afternoon, arrive in Marrakech via the Tizi N'Tichka pass and wait for the departing flight.
